Dear Intentional Creativity Community,

We are delighted to invite you to our very first juried show “I AM MUSEA”
to be featured in our MUSEA: Intentional Creativity Museum.

We are so excited at the inauguration of one of the many of MUSEA’s upcoming offerings,
and you are invited to be part of this quantum unfolding.

INTRODUCTION TO "I AM MUSEA"

MUSEA is the plural of museum and in our community, it is many muses, many hands, many lands.
We aren’t waiting for a seat at the table or an invitation to the gallery, we are making the table and building the museum ourselves!
Won’t you come and join us?

This show is inspired by the idea of your studio as a sacred space.
As a participant in this call, you will be a part of a global museum show, featured on a MUSEA page.
You will feel an integral part of the unfolding of MUSEA. And there will be awards!

All art mediums are welcome for this call. Painters, Quilters, Fiber Artists, Sculptors, Carvers, Musicians, Writers, Dancers, etc …

Are you getting excited? We are!
Let your inspirations come as you imagine your studio being featured in a Museum Show
that connects to you to a powerful global vision and worldwide community.

CREATIVE CONSIDERATIONS FOR YOUR STILL-LIFE

Curating beauty with intention is a central theme in our community and most especially the idea of your studio as sacred space.
No detail is too small, and every detail is part of making sacred space.
These are some of the concepts to consider in the creation of your still-life for I Am Musea.

1. Beauty and Your Tools

When creating an altar, a ’still-life’, that identifies your studio as sacred to you, what are the tools you use?
Are there paints, scissors, sculpting tools, dancing shoes, holy water, anointing oils, chocolates, red thread?
Do you include the elements, ancestors, angels, other special objects?

How do you honor your tools as sacred?
How are these elements placed to create the beauty that feeds your inspiration, heart, and soul?

This still-life is more about the space itself, and less about your actual art, there will be other shows for that. Your art may be included but is secondary.

2. The Red Thread Connection and Ritual

We are a community of artists who are connected by a Red Thread across the world.
Together we approach our art making with intention and love.
Everything we do in making can be held in the context of ritual.
This is our quantum connection.
See more about the Red Thread in our community at www.musea.org/redthread

The setting up of our space is part of energizing it and making it sacred. What is the process you go through to create your space?
How are the items placed? Is there a special order? What is the beginning and end of the ritual? How is Red Thread included?
Do you play particular music, have tea in your favorite mug, or a refreshing sparkling beverage out of crystal glasses?
A rainbow of colored brushes in a burst of beauty in a jar, candles, flowers, incense, etc.
Every part of the process of making art can be held within the context of ritual.

3. Community: You Matter to Us and We Matter to You

Including and curating the MUSEA color wheel into your altar. It could physically be included by printing out the
Musea Color Wheel (which we will provide below) or added digitally with as a graphic to your submission.
We invite you to make the addition of the wheel a part of your ritual.
Imagine yourself connecting with each and every one of us, and see yourself as part of the many muses that make up MUSEA.

And so it is!  #IamMusea is how we will find each other!
We invite you to use this hastag in your social media posts as a way to signal your connection to this amazing community
and your participation in our I Am Musea art call!
